People we're looking for

We are looking for motivated, fit & energetic people who are looking to work full-time, 5-days a week throughout the year. While we do consider all applications, the type of work is best suited to people in the 16+ year age bracket. You'll be expected to work in all terrains & all weather conditions, however you'll be paid on a piece-rate which means there is plenty of opportunity to earn well-above minimum wage.

We have an extensive set of safety regulations and a great track record to back it up, we have our own in-house training crew which means you can get NZQA-based training while being paid at the same time. We offer & promote career pathways for silvicultural workers who wish to advance as crew managers or supervisors.

Drug-free Policy

You must pass a drug-free test before starting work with us. We also regularly perform random drug testing of all our crew-members to ensure your work environment is a safe one. All our drug-testing is done in-house plus we also do ESR Testing for all crew-members involved in high-risk operations.

Accommodation.

CNI Forest Management Ltd provides a hostel which is available for staff to stay in, all meals are provided and included in the cost of staying at the hostel.

The hostel is situated within easy walking distance of the main town and shops. The hostel is based on the Scion Campus which is located next to the famous Redwoods. The Redwoods are part of Whakarewarewa Forest, which is renown for its mountain biking and walking tracks.

Most of your work will be based in the Central North Island, predominantly you will be working in Kaingaroa Forest which is known as the largest man made indigenous forest in the Southern Hemisphere
